Until you arrive

I was ignored all the fall,

Till the end of the year.

I was left to brittle

B'cause I was no daisy or pansy

I was just some leaves and some roots

Hanging on some unknown bark.

I was left alone

B'cause I was no red or purple

I was just some green ,

Camouflaged.

Until you arrive.

You drizzled me with a hope

To grow and bear flowers,

And become the orchid I was meant for.

You flirted with the petrichor fragrance you bought along,

You brought back the nostalgia as you walked down ,

And you reminded me the promise that you have always kept along

Oh! Rain,

You are the reason I blossom

With spring every year.
