" I recently stumbled upon the book ‘Ai’ and I am glad I did.
The book cover is so aptly designed with a picture of Cherry blossom tree with heart-shaped flowers gently drifting off from life to reach the Earth. The tree itself is associated with the spiritual beliefs from the Buddhist philosophy of mindfulness. While it signifies the brevity of life, on one hand, it also depicts the expansion that is possible in the present moment. If life is so short-lived, why are we not paying attention to the ultimate purpose of living life to the fullest filled with love? How can we live fully in the present immersing ourselves in the feeling of selfless love is beautifully brought out by the illustrator, Sharin Choudhury.
Setting a context for the book, as well as summarizing what the book is all about, are the wise words, Love is timeless. That which has no beginning or end is love. Arunabh, Qudsiya, Muqqadas, Anjali, Revathi, Pranjali, Abhishek, and Kaynat have done an incredible job of expressing unconditional love through words in this short 56 pages book. It would be an understatement to say they have really poured their hearts out.
‘Ai’ is will be a great read for those who are looking for a short and sweet, insightful read. Not only can the chapters of the book be read in any order, but they can be re-read and will give interpretations that will fit the very moment. After reading this book, it will be hard to not feel the emotion of love in every aspect of living. All-in-all it’s a lovely read!
